kazuyo sejima and ryue nishizawa were facing rigid building laws when they designed the christian dior store in tokyo. the hight was limited to 100 feet. thus, to maximize space, the architects designed the building with floors of variable heights. exterior walls were designed of glass with translucent acrylic screens.
